Volunteers needed, A massive Thank You & a Timetable Switch

Emma's back from hols, and there's a few things to tell you.

Happy Tuesday everyone,

I’m back from my holiday and have a few things to tell you about this week, so please read to the end - it’s not too long - I promise!

I had a wonderful time away and feel much less ‘frantic’ than I did two weeks ago. I surprised myself in how well I managed to leave work behind and that was thanks to my brilliant team - special shout out to Dianne and Jo H who held the reins brilliantly and allowed me to fully relax.

Now I’m back I’m on the countdown to my surgery which is scheduled for the afternoon of Monday 28th July.

This means after my classes on Saturday I will be away from the studio for a few weeks (depending on my recovery). The earliest date I will be back will be 14th August - but as I’ve been told by lots of you I will wait until I’m well enough.

Just because you can’t see me doesn’t mean I’m not accessible, I will be keeping up to date with all goings on and will be reachable if needed. Feel free to send me nice messages as I know being stuck at home isn’t going to be a huge amount of fun.

Before I go I have a few important things to do/say…

A Massive Thank You…

On Friday night I was starting to worry about the business and what would happen while I’m off - I knew it would be physically ok, but my concern was financially, would we be able to withstand me not teaching for so long - would the bank account cope?

I had an idea to see if maybe a couple of our wonderful clients would be in a position to pay for their membership upfront for the next 12 months, just to take the pressure off a bit. So I swallowed my pride and sent an email.

Within minutes - literally - less than 3 minutes after sending, I started getting replies from members saying yes they could help.

I was, and am still overwhelmed by the willingness to help and I’m truly grateful.

I’m still getting messages from people with offers to pay, but I’m now at the stage where if I accept any more I’m going to be putting our monthly income in jeopardy!

Having this extra buffer has massively taken the weight off my shoulders where the studio is concerned and I can’t thank you enough.

Walk & Pub Lunch
Sunday, 27th July - 11:30am

Everyone that has said they will be joining us on our Sunday walk should by now have given Dianne their food orders (if coming for lunch).

The weather looks changeable, so please be prepared for all eventualities!

We’ll meet at the studio at 11:30am and we’ve booked food to be ready for 1:30pm at The White Lion on the High Street.

FREE Pilates Class - Attendees Needed

Prior to my diagnosis we were already looking for a new instructor to join the team as the lovely Collette is soon to be leaving us to have her baby.

Now with my absence pending it’s become a little more imperative to get another (particularly daytime available) instructor on board our team of fabulous people.

I have a very lovely instructor called Sarah, who would like to try out for the role and I need some volunteers to be participants in her audition class.

As you can see above the class will be held THIS THURSDAY at 4-4:45pm.

Due to her experience level you may attend regardless of any injuries or limitations (you just need to let her know when you arrive of anything that may affect your ability in the session).
