Thank you for opening our email this week, I’m enjoying keeping everyone up to date with all the many things going on at the studio, I hope you’re finding them useful.

Member Events

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Last Friday was our annual Coffee ‘morning’ in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

At last count we had raised £827 (not including the gift aid). This is fantastic and we are extremely grateful for everyone’s generosity.

Thank you to everyone that made a cake donation, there were some very delicious treats on offer. Also thank you for those of you that managed to join us on the day and to everyone that have since helped us eat up the remaining cakes. It was really nice to see some non-members at the event too.

The collection box will be left out for any remaining cash donations for the rest of the week and you can of course still donate via our justgiving link (If you bring cash, please remember to complete the gift aid form next to the donation box if you are eligible).

Starlight Express Theatre Trip

The Member Christmas Party

We still have 2 spaces left for our Christmas Party at Chesfield Downs on Saturday, 7th December.

New Team Member

I am delighted to announce that one of our lovely members, Christina D’Amico will be taking over from Lauren’s role as Member Support Assistant. It will take us a little while to get her set up and trained, so please continue to bear with us. Her email address will be active from next week but until then please continue to use [email protected] or text us with any problems. Any non-urgent queries will be dealt with as soon as we can get to them. Thanks for your patience.

Many of you have received emails to say your class couldn’t be paid for. This happens when you have a recurring booking in place but you have used your membership credits towards a different class (usually when you are having to replace a class you usually attend). To prevent this from happening you need to FIRST cancel the recurring class that you cannot attend, then use a CREDIT (not your membership) to book your replacement class. This will be an option when you go to book your replacement class.

Please take your time with this process as this is the MOST common issue that we have to deal with and it takes quite a while from our end to resolve.

A New Referral Programme

I am delighted to announce the launch of our new referral programme. This is in place with immediate effect.

To refer someone to the studio simply click on the refer & earn button within the Momence App and send the link to your friends and family members. They complete the form and we get in touch with them! Simple.

I will explain more in a future email, however for now, all you need to know is, share the studio and you’ll get a free class if they book their free induction.

If they upgrade to an intro offer (4 trial classes in 3 weeks), you get £10 off your next month’s membership.

If they sign up as a full member, they get 10% off their 1st month and you get a free bag/towel/t-shirt/hoodie (depending on how many people you have referred).

Are You A Legend?

I’ve been teasing this for a few weeks and for that I’m sorry, (I realise I may have made the suspense too big for the reward!). Here’s how you can get a free T-Shirt…

The good news is, you may already qualify!

You have probably seen a lot of our members wearing t-shirts that say ‘I’m a Legend’.

Until this May these were limited to members that had been with us since the days of our Stevenage studio.

I have decided to open this Legend status up to our Baldock clients, but… you need to have been a member for 3 years or more to qualify.

If you have been a member with us in Baldock since we opened in May 2021 congratulations you are already a Legend! 

If you joined us between May - October 2021 you are also already a Legend! (You would have been sent an email at the time but it seems a lot of these went into junk or were missed).

For those of you that haven’t been with us for quite so long, don’t worry, we are keeping tabs and will let you know when you become a Legend.

If you think you may be a Legend already, please drop us a message, or see Emma next time you’re in the studio to collect your I’m a Legend T-shirt!

There will be a recognition board for all of our Legends coming soon - It’s on my very long to-do list!
