Emma's back! Plus Volunteer bakers required...

Happy Tuesday everyone,

Firstly, I’m sorry its a little later in the day than usual. I came back to the studio yesterday and now I’ve lost complete track of what day it is!!

And yes, I am back properly now. (Although I’m not in tomorrow, as I’m in Birmingham on a course!).

A quick update on me, my initial expectation of getting my histology results back tomorrow has been delayed by a week as my surgeon is on annual leave. So could I have your positive thoughts for clear lymph node results for one more week please!

So if you didn’t see me already, I’ll see you in the studio soon, I’m back teaching all my classes and covering a few extras over the next couple of weeks and I’m well rested and ready to put you through your paces!

OCTOBER MEMBER’S EVENT
BAKERS REQUIRED
Macmillan Coffee Morning
SATURDAY, 4th October 2025

Are you the Pilates Corner’s star baker? Can you knock up a mean traybake? Do you have a secret recipe for the best coffee and walnut cake around?

If so we need you! 

All of our cakes that we sell at our coffee morning are homemade, and although Dianne and I make some delicious offerings every year, we can’t make enough for everyone.

If you are able and willing to bake a donation of a cake/ scones /muffins /cupcakes /tray bakes or buns, please let us know. Please also tell us what you plan to make so we can ensure we don’t have 5 lemon drizzle cakes (like we did a couple of years ago).

We won’t need them from you until the earliest (Friday, 3rd October), so you have a little while, but we want to give you plenty of time to be prepared.

If you’re not a baker but a great coffee/tea drinker, or cake EATER, we also would love to know if you’re able to attend so we can make sure we have enough cakes to go around. Please click on the same button if you plan to attend but not bake anything.
