This week I am going to attempt to help you understand how the credits and rollovers work.
There are a couple of weeks to get your hands on studio merch at the current price before the prices go up.
and a crucial step you need to take if you want to get a free class and £10 off your membership by referring your friends and family. Enjoy.

Member Events
With the event calendar drawing to a close I wanted to have a quick look back at all the events we’ve done this year.
When I first opened the Baldock studio, it was important to me that we had a sense of community among our clients, one of the ways I wanted to do that was by running events.
Thank you to everyone that has come along and supported our events in 2024, we hope you’ve enjoyed attending them as much as we have running them.

The Member Christmas Party
Last 2 spaces still up for grabs for our Christmas Party at Chesfield Downs on Saturday, 7th December. Tickets are £54 - to book your space a deposit of £10 is required with the balance payable later in November. Click here to book a ticket. Those of you that have already booked, you should have received the menu now. Thank you to everyone that has already sent back their choices. Please get your choices back to Dianne by Monday 14th November. The balance payment will be taken from your Momence payment method between 9th -16th November. |
How the Credit system works!
Have you ever had the email: ‘your class couldn’t be paid for’?
The main thing to remember is that your credits don’t roll over until the end of your 28 day cycle. Therefore you can’t pre-emptively book cancelled classes into the next credit period in advance. When you do this you effectively ‘steal’ credits from the next month’s pot of credits leaving you with a deficit.

How to find out your renewal date in the app
From the home page of the Momence app go to Account (bottom right hand corner) > My memberships >
You cannot book classes from the previous period after this date UNTIL this date.

This shows the date your credits/membership renews.
Please note if you are on a monthly membership that is always paid on the 1st, 11th or 21st of the month. You CANNOT see when your renewal date is on the app. (Which is why we are encouraging everyone on these memberships to switch to the 28 day cycle where possible).
Thank you to those of you that up till now have been on the monthly payments and have agreed to switch over, Christina will be working her way through the list and getting you switched over ASAP.
The Store: Studio Merch & Equipment to buy
As I’m sure you’re aware, we have an online store where we are able to sell you branded merchandise and equipment. We have been subject to some price increases over the past year that have not yet been reflected in the price we sell on to you.
However the time has come for this to be adjusted.
To be as fair as possible I wanted to give you an opportunity to make any purchases at the current prices before the increase on 1st November.
To access the store, simply select Products within the Momence app (see image below).

Please note: All clothing items are printed to order, so I will put an order in on 1st November with delivery taking up to 2 weeks.
Although we keep a small amount of stock of most products, some items may have to be ordered in, please let your instructor know if you have placed an order next time you’re in the studio.
Referrals: To qualify for the rewards this step MUST be taken.
You may remember last week we mentioned our new referral programme. This is set up as an automatic reward system on Momence, and for it to be activated YOUR name must be mentioned at the time of booking their induction to qualify.
If someone you know comes along to an induction, or you see them in a class on their trial, we cannot retrospectively add on the referral rewards, or refund any money paid for their induction.
We ALWAYS ask how they heard about the studio and if they don’t say your name you (and they) will not qualify for the free induction (them), the free class (you) or the £10 off your membership incentives (you).
So please remind your friends and family to mention you when we speak to them.
Working Hours (Christina & Emma)
Lastly I just wanted to make it clear that Christina’s role is part-time, so she will not necessarily pick up your message on the day you send it.
If your message is urgent and requires a response within 24 hours please send it to me directly either by email or WhatsApp. (See how to reach us at the end of this newsletter).
Having said that I am trying to give myself clearer boundaries of when I work, so if you message before 9am on a weekday, in the evening after 6pm, or on Sunday’s you won’t get a response straight away.
I appreciate your consideration of my personal time when sending your messages outside of the working day!
