A weighty opportunity, 10% off a holiday and a visit to see the King!

Read it now to be kept in the loop of all things Pilates Corner.

Happy Shrove Tuesday,

Anyone else have pancakes for breakfast today? Amber never fails to remember each year (I always forget!).

I was very pleased with my flipping attempts today - see video below for my skills!

How do you eat yours? I’m a traditional girl and love a lemon juice and sugar, but also had one with chocolate spread today - yum 😋

This week has been slightly less glamorous with no TV appearances, however The Hertfordshire School of Pilates now has students registered for the first cohort in April - including one of our very own client’s daughter’s!

There’s been less exciting news on the house move front, sadly the buyer at the bottom of the chain (3 people below us) has dropped out due to mortgage issues, so everything is on hold at present, this is very frustrating, but also gives us a bit more time to get the packing/sorting done.

An opportunity to build additional strength - Beyond your studio classes

As you’ve probably seen in the media recently, there is a lot of talk about women (of a certain age) getting great benefits from weight/resistance training.

We as instructors love using weights in class, but its not practical to use them in every session.

I also know many of you would feel massively out of place in a gym, so I thought - if there is enough interest - I’ll create a little at-home training group.

It will require you to have some hand weights at home - I’m going to buy a batch wholesale to get the best price possible.

The plan is that I will create some videos you can do in the comfort of your own home to help build up your strength.

There will be no cost to be a part of the group but I would like to make it a community group so we can all support and encourage each other.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in being a part of please click the button below to be the first to know about it.

A Right Royal visit for Ros!

One of our wonderful members, Ros Allwood, went on a right royal adventure earlier this month! 👑

She was invited to St James's Palace for an event recognising the contributions of people who work in local and regional government. North Herts Council selected Ros to represent North Hertfordshire Museum where she works as the curator.

She met the King and Queen, and the Duke of Gloucester. She said she "felt so privileged to have been selected by North Herts Council."

Ros said she told King Charles, "We have your grandmother's christening gown"… Not a threat, just a fact! The museum has many objects from the previous Queen Mother, as she was a local lady.

How very exciting!

Thanks for reading, that’s all for this week,
