A Wedding, A Party, A Charity Challenge & New Members

3rd September 2024. Issue. 03

Welcome reader,

I really enjoyed covering lots of different classes last week and getting to see some faces that I've not taught in a while, I'm sure you'll be glad to hear Dianne is back from her holidays now, so normal service will resume!

Our wonderful Elle is getting married on Sunday, I know you'll join me in wishing her and Aran lots of love for their special day. Thank you to everyone that has contributed to her gift and written in her card, we collected a whopping £200 for her gift - which we decided to spend on vouchers for them (we got One4all which can be spent in John Lewis, Currys, Ikea and many other stores). These will be presented to her after the 9:30 class tomorrow. (Don't worry she isn't being sent this newsletter!)

MEMBER EVENTS:

I wanted to remind you all that there's still time (if you do it today!), to reserve your seat at the Christmas Party Night on Saturday, 7th December.
The £10 deposit can be paid by clicking on this link https://momence.com/s/105997620 and selecting payment plan. The balance which will be due in November has been adjusted by £1 to £44 to cover the processing fees we have to pay when taking payments through Momence.

We've already got a good number of people booked to come but we'd love it if more of you could join us. It really will be a fabulous festive night out. Don't worry if you don't think you'll know anyone going, you'll make new friends on the night and ALL of our members are lovely so you will definitely have a great time.

Any questions about this event (or others) should be sent to Dianne at  [email protected]

NEW MEMBERS:
I thought it would be a nice addition to our newsletter to welcome new members as they join us. As it's the first time we've done it this month I wanted to officially welcome all the new members that joined us in August;

Casey Cook
Janet French
Ros Allwood
Tracy Paine
Lyn Whitley
Julie Hensby
Sarah Berry
& Anne Fallon

CLASS UPDATE:

Tuesdays at 7:15pm Class Change.

This class is currently on the timetable as Beginners Pilates, it's a relatively new class, however we have found it's not had the uptake we'd hoped for, so from the 17th September this will become a mixed ability Pilates class; still very much suitable for beginners but also providing another evening class suitable for the rest of our members.

Eloise and I hope this will help boost the number of people able to attend this currently very small (but perfectly formed) class.

CHARITY CHALLENGE:

One of our members Jayne Brewer (picture below), is doing a plank challenge to raise money for Cancer Research. She has to do 2 minutes of planking a day for the entire month of September. She did invite me to join her and I politely declined! Instead I said I'd share her just giving link to our members in case anyone would like to add to her fundraising total. Here is the link to her just giving page, thank you for your support. https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/jaynes-giving-page-2199

Jayne Brewer

That's all for this week, see you next Tuesday.
