A big thank you, a personal update, and this month’s community spotlight 💚

Happy Tuesday everyone,
This week I’m glad to say is a little calmer than the last two and I’m based at home all week after galavanting across the country on numerous occasions over the last fortnight.
This is a good thing not only for my energy levels but also because yesterday I started on the first of two drugs to put me into a chemical menopause. This first one is called Zoladex which is a slow release implant that gets injected into my tummy every 4 weeks and puts my ovaries to sleep.
I’ll start the second drug - Letrozole next Monday - this one is a daily tablet taken before bed and will induce more of the typical menopause type symptoms.
I’m sharing this with you to ask for a little slack if I’m not quite ‘on my game’ as much as I usually am, over the next few months as my body adjusts to the sudden lack of hormones.

OCTOBER MEMBER’S EVENT
Macmillan Coffee Morning

Thank you so much to everyone that baked a cake, came along on Saturday and bought (and ate) some cake, donated cash or online.
I am overwhelmed yet again by your generosity, and as of last night we have raised a total of £960 - we would love to reach the £1,000 mark with your help.
There’s still time to donate if you haven’t already… https://www.justgiving.com/page/the-pilates-corner-3
Unfortunately I was too busy eating cake and making teas & coffees to take photos and all I got was this video (which is only half the contributions) 🤦🏻♀️.
💚 Community Spotlight: Meet Aisha
![]() |
We love celebrating the amazing talents within our Pilates Corner community, and this week we’re shining the spotlight on one of our lovely members, Aisha.
Alongside her Pilates practice, Aisha is a person-centred counsellor based here in Baldock. She offers face-to-face, online and phone sessions for anyone feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck.
Whether you’re dealing with stress, grief, low self-esteem or simply feeling “on autopilot,” counselling provides a safe, supportive space to explore your emotions and regain balance. Aisha has worked with people facing a wide range of challenges, including bereavement, domestic violence, men’s mental health and neurodiverse children and young people.
Her approach is gentle and collaborative, helping you find clarity, confidence and control.
She offers a free 30-minute introductory session, and if you mention The Pilates Corner, you’ll receive 10% off your sessions.
Healthy body, healthy mind — that’s something Aisha and I both truly believe in.
